Welcome to Edison!

As a proud ’08 alum, I’m grateful for the opportunity to help new families learn more about Edison High School. As a unique private high school dedicated to serving students with learning differences, Edison is rooted in relationships and helping students reframe their educational journey.

As a dyslexic myself, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate a school system that wasn’t necessarily built for you. It’s truly a privilege to now help incoming families discover a high school experience that can uplift their students, build confidence, and help them see what they’re capable of.

I look forward to connecting with you!

See Edison for Yourself.

A Shadow Day is the easiest way to know if Edison is right for your child. Spend a day on campus, meet our team, sit in on classes, and ask every question you have. When you’re ready to move forward, the application is right here too.

A Shadow Day is exactly what it sounds like: your child spends a day at Edison, shadowing current students, sitting in on classes, and experiencing what a regular day looks and feels like here. It’s low-pressure and low-commitment — just a chance to see the school in action and decide if it’s the right fit.

Most families find that a visit does more than any website or brochure could. Once your application is complete, come see it. Attending a Shadow Day is a required step in our application process.

How to Apply

We’ve made the process as clear as possible. Here’s how it works:

  • Start your application.

When you're ready, begin the application through FinalSite.

  • Submit your student's evaluation documentation.

Edison strongly recommends a current evaluation documenting your child's learning differences. If you're still in the middle of an evaluation, reach out to us — we can talk through timing.

  • Apply for Finanacial Aid.

Edison’s process is need-blind, but if you need assistance, we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

  • Schedule a Shadow Day.

Come visit the school. Meet the team. Let your child spend a day here.

  • Admissions decision.

We review all materials and let you know whether we believe Edison is the right environment for your child.

  • Enrollment.

Once admitted, you'll complete enrollment through FinalSite and connect with our team about next steps.

Admissions Questions

  • What happens on a Shadow Day?

Your child spends a full school day at Edison, shadowing current students and sitting in on classes. It’s casual and low-pressure — the goal is for your child to get a real feel for the environment. Most families tell us the Shadow Day was the moment they knew.

  • What documentation is required to apply?

Edison strongly suggests a current educational/psychological evaluation or equivalent documentation confirming your child’s learning differences within three years of the application date. If you’re unsure what you have or need, contact us and we’ll help you figure out the next steps.

  • What if my child hasn't been diagnosed yet?

Contact us. Many families reach out while still in the evaluation process, and we can help you understand what documentation you’ll need. Don’t wait until you have everything finalized to contact us — we want to be a resource during this process, not just at the end of it.

  • What are the application deadlines?

Application deadlines for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 school years. The financial aid application deadline through FACTS is January 8, 2027. The freshman application deadline and the financial aid application deadline through FACTS are both January 8, 2027. Transfer applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

If you believe your family may qualify for financial aid, we encourage you to complete the FACTS application by January 8, 2027, whether your student is applying as a freshman or a transfer. Applying by the deadline helps us plan for and support all families who require financial assistance.

  • How competitive is admissions at Edison?

Edison is a small school with intentionally limited enrollment. We review each application individually and prioritize students whose learning profile is a good match for our program. The application process is designed to help both the family and our team make a confident decision.
