A Visit to the Center for Holocaust Education
While visiting the Center for Holocaust Education Edison's sophomore class had the privilege of hearing Ruth Bollinger's story of her family's escape from Czechoslovakia.
Ruth was born in March 1938; in October the Munich Agreement was signed, allowing Germany to seize Czechoslovakia. Ms. Halpin and Mr. Wold, who took the students on the field trip, were proud of our sophomore class.
"I was extremely proud of all of our students. Ruth's story was riveting, and today several have told me they could picture it in their minds. They were all engaged, well behaved, and asked thoughtful and sensitively phrased questions."
