Each year the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) hosts their annual Reading, Literacy, and Learning Conference. This year IDA will celebrate its 70th Annual Conference here in Portland. This conference is an excellent opportunity for professional development or continuing education for educators, administrators, and even parents. People gather from all over the world to come together and learn from each other and experts in the field.

We are excited to announce that Edison is participating with IDA in a unique way; as one of four schools that conference guests will be able to visit. On Thursday November 7, Edison will welcome international guests to observe our classrooms, hear presentations from our counselors and specialists, and speak with a student panel regarding their experiences with dyslexia.

One of our core values at Edison is Collaboration. We love working together with organizations and teams that share our passion for educating students with learning differences. We are excited to share our story, expertise, and hear the different perspectives of our guests.
