Welcome to Edison High School
Counselor & Art Therapist
Carrie joined Edison in 2011 as a part-time counselor and art therapist. In 2015, she began teaching a summer "Transition Tools" class to help freshman make a smooth transition from middle school to high school. Carrie has also started the Mention Paths 2 the Future program. This is a University of Oregon developed curriculum based intervention for girls with learning differences with a goal of improved educational and career opportunities. She received her B.A. from George Mason University with a major in Art History. She also has an M.S. in Art Therapy from Eastern Virginia Medical School and her M.Ed in School Counseling from Lewis and Clark College. Working with Edison students is an exciting opportunity to focus on her strongest passions: adolescent academic and personal development.
